Team Edward or Team Jacob?

Team Edward or Team Jacob? It's a very hard question to answer if you are a Twilight fan.

I made these cards awaiting the release of Eclipse. The Edward and Jacob are from The Greeting Farm. Although Jacob is actually Michael. The wolf is from Rubber Stampede. The trees are from Stampscapes. I printed the wolf pack tatoo from a Twilight fan site.

Thanks for looking. And I am totally Team Edward!

The Nightmare before Christmas in July

The challenge over at The Burtonesque Dolls this past week was/is a play off Christmas in July with The Nightmare before Christmas in July. That of course is totally my thing!

I had so many ideas, But I could not get the image of the man eating wreath out of my head so this is what I came up with. I used Family Treasures Leaf punches in large and small. Free handed the weird eyes and teeth. Added the bow and used $1 stamp from Michael's by Recollections (Merry Christmas). Recollections background paper in Mom's Diner, it looked vintage Christmas to me. Hope you enjoyed it! :)

Oh Rosa!

Well this card was supposed to be for last weeks Oh Alice! Challenge Under the Sea, but I missed the deadline. OPPS! Anyway I had fun making it.

I used a FUN Stamp from Queen Kat Designs, Mad Hatted Mermaid. I had fun coloring all the little specifics and of course the grinning Chesire Cat. The bubbles are from Mostly Animals, I stamped them on the background paper and then cut out some more bubbles and place them around the background using pop dots. I finalized my bubble background with Pearl Gems. Thanks for looking. :)

The Burtonesque Dolls/Tiddly Inks Challenge: Forever Bride

I've been having so much fun with these challenges. The Burtonesque Dolls Challenge this week was Black and White and the Tiddly Inks Challenge was match it up and my card fit for both. Two birds one stone.

When I saw Gossmere on the Tiddly Inks site, I just knew I had to have her. She kinda reminded me of a Bride, a Burtonesque Bride. I tried a bunch of different layouts but I finally choose simple and clean. I started with a black background cardstock, dark grey card stock cut out with Nestabilities Labels Eight. Then a Recollections rhinestone Sticker (trickier to use than I thought it would be) Glimmer misted black flowers (Graphite) and Hampton Art Forever Stamp $1 bin at Micheals. Thanks for looking! :)

The Burtonesque Dolls Challenge #10 Burton Boys

When I saw this challenge on The Burtonesque Dolls Blog I knew I had to enter. I love Tim Burton and I Love his boys, Jack, The Hatter, Edward, Beetlejuice, Batman (Micheal Keaton), Pee Wee, Etc. Although Jack Skellington is my favorite I had this stamp from Stampotique that my mom gave me and I always thought it looked like Edward Scissorhands. So I knew exactly what I wanted to do. First I had to draw in some extra crazy hair (reminds me Burton himself) and then I got to practice my Copic black coloring skills. The Word Stamp I thought was perfect (Stamp Happy Rubber Stamps) and then the Tiny Scissors cut from Stampotique's The Crafter. I had a lot of fun making this card, Thanks for looking!

Do I have to go to work now? I Wanna Play!

I just got back from The Original Rubber Stamp Convention in Carson, California. It was pretty small not like how it used to be 15 years ago, but it was fun and some of my favorites were there: Stampers Anonymous, Studios Blackbird (Invoke Arts), Stamp Happy Rubber Stamps and a new co for me Lost Coast Designs. I got a few things to play with, just a few. LOL! Tim Holtz was there demoing at the SA booth, watched him for a bit but it was just to crowded for my taste. Hopefully between working and sleeping I will be able to put some ink to paper tonight or right now if I hurry before I need to leave for work. I can't wait to play with the Halloween Wonderland Paper from Graphic 45. Alice as a witch!!!! I am still working on the challenge over at The Burtonesque Dolls, challenge #10 The Burton Boys, hope to have that posted tomorrow. Have a great weekend!
