Pink!

It's Pink on the Brink at Haunted Design House this week and Happy not so Sweet 16 at Stampotique's Designer's challenge blog. And of course I thought Moth Fab in pink would fit both beautifully.

I just love her little smirk, reminds me of someone I knew at 16, me! I think my mom would agree that I did not have the terrible 2's but the terrible 16's. Sorry mom :)

Had fun making this pepto pink card!

Stamps: Moth Fab and Heads by Stampotique, Splat stamps by Recollections, Happy B-day by Hampton Art.

Punch: MS drippy goo

Tiddly Inks Movie Magic

Hi again , I thought I'd better get this post in before time gets away from me. The theme this week at the Tiddly Inks Challenge Blog is Movie Magic, your favorite summer movie. I can't say I have a favorite Summer movie but my all time favorite movie is......

The Nightmare before Christmas of course!

When I purchased Portence from Tiddly Inks a few weeks ago, I thought she looked a little like Sally. I had fun adding the small touches to make her more Sally like, the stitches and her dress. I decided that the background should be a patchwork of sorts kinda like Sally herself. Hope you like it!

Go Kings Go!

Hello blogland! Today I wanted to post a card I made for Kenny K's Krafty Girlz Challenge #6 Bold and Bright.

My husband is a huge Kings Hockey fan and when I saw this image from Kenny K. I knew I would get some good use out of it. The word stamp is from Stamp Happy.

I decided to go retro Kings and use the purple and gold colors from 1967-1987. My husband will be impressed that I know this. I found the Kings logo online and added gems to make it more regal. With preseason Hockey starting next month I will give the card to my husband to celebrate the new hockey season! Go Kings Go!

My Favorite Burton Film is....

The Nightmare Before Christmas OF COURSE!

This weeks challenge at The Burtonesque Dolls is your Favorite Burton film, and that was an easy one for me of course its TNBC. I was 19 when the film came out and I was working at a movie theater. My boss had just gotten back from Show West in Las Vegas and she told me about this amazing stop motion animation film that Tim Burton had created and Danny Elfman had created the music for. I was sold!

When the movie came out a year later, I was stunned. This has been my favorite movie since then. I knew I wanted to use my Jack and Sally stamp from Stamp Happy.

Stamps: Stamp Happy: J&S and Zero grave house, Kathy Davis: Pumpkins

Punches: MS: gate and graves

Zero is a Disney pin

Nymph of the Underworld

Hi! I wanted to get this post in before I forget and have to post it at the last minute for the Haunted Design House Challenge. The theme this week is Netherworld Nymphs.

I fell in love with this Beauty from Bombshell Stamps when I saw it on Cheryl's blog. (Inktrap) My mom and I were checking out her blog and I said WOW I love that stamp and my mom was like Oh I have an extra one at home, I will send it to you. Thank you Mom!

I got it in the mail on Monday with some other fun goodies. I knew I wanted to use her for my Netherworld Nymph. She is the ultimate Nymph of the Underworld.

I loved coloring the roses and I used my new Spellbinders Nesties which came in the mail the same day as the stamp. I didn't have any red flowers so I used my Glimmermist in Red Velvet as paint. I painted the roses red!

I used black Hem facing behind her and a lace stamp after that. I don't know who makes the lace stamp, it's an old unmounted stamp I got at a Stamp Convention.
I really enjoyed making this card.

On the Dark Side: Gothik Angelz

When I saw these NEW digi Beauties from Kenny K, I thought WOW how much fun are they going to be to color. So I had to just get a few. HAHA (Thanks Cheryl)

Her name is Allura Von D and she is very alluring. I thought she looked very Kim K. and so I worked with that in mind. I decided simple paper layering and a few gems were just enough as she really takes center stage.

I have already colored up four other Angelz and can't wait to see what they will turn into. Maybe a mini book of gothic babes.

Look Into My Crystal Ball and See What Your Future Holds...

It's a Carnival over at The Burtonesque Dolls this week. I love the movie Big Fish and the Carnival scenes had some pretty amazing charaters. It really was hard to choose what I wanted to do.

I finally went with Zoie from Stamp it Crazy, she is a great digi image. I have been loving the Gothic Arches that the very talented Buttercup uses from Gothic Arches Blog and thought one would make a great Gypsy tent. If you have not visited Buttercup's blog, you really should. Buttercupaz.blogspot.com

Stamps: Too many Freaks by Stamp Happy. Zoie by Stamp it Crazy. Scroll by Tim Holtz.
Paper: Bazzill Basics Paper
Coloring: Copics
Gems: Reflections
Diamond Stickles glitter glue

Along came a spider....

I have been wanting to do a challenge at haunteddesignhouse.blogspot.com and when I saw that this weeks challenge was SPIDERS I knew exactly what I wanted to do.

It's not creepy, but spiders give me the creeps and I just love these two images. The spider is Mr. Stripes from Stampotique another great image from Daniel Torrente.
And the spider fairy Gossamer is a digi from Sweet November Stamps, I just love her! Of course I can't forget the spider web, it's from Tim Holtz.

I had fun glimmer misting the background page with Popsicle, Caribbean Blue and Graphite. The Spider web was stamped in black and embossed with Judikins Psychedelic powder. I added a little Glossy Accents hoping it would look like dew on the spider web. Mr. Stripes head and Gossamer's eyes also have some GA on them as well. Diamond Stickles finish off Gossamer's Web Gown and Copics were used for coloring. I printed out a line from the nursery rhyme Little Miss Muffett as I thought it fit perfectly.
