The Burtonesque Dolls

It's time for another Burtonesque Dolls Challenge!
We are celebrating The Art of Tim Burton this week
so be sure to check us out!

This is Uncle Buck, he has been unlucky with love and is looking
for a new love will you be his Valentine?

I just love his buck teeth so fun! Uncle Buck and Hearts are from
Stampotique and are from Daniel Torrente of course!
I find his images to be very "Burtonesque".
The little valentine is a stamp by Craftsmart
from the $1 bins at Michaels, love those $1 bins.

New Year, New Start, Burtonesque Dolls!

We're Back!!!
So Sorry for the delay, but a few of the Dolls have been unwell,
so we extended our Christmas Break. Here's this weeks Challenge
"New Year, New Start Burtonesque Dolls Style"
Create a card/project with a New Home or New Baby theme,
but don't forget to add that Burtonesque Twist.

I decided to twist the challenge a bit and made a
New Year, New Me card!
This year is going to be about me! Not in a concited way
but as in taking care of myself for a change.
I don't plan on changing who I am just being
a better version of myself.
The last part of 2010 has given me some really hard challenges and I realized I was not taking care of myself. Have you ever heard that saying, the definition of crazy is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result? Well that's me, but not this year, that will change. Some things that I am going to change are:  Sing out loud, take chances, play hard, laugh more, enjoy life and not take everything so seriously.

Anyway I hope you enjoyed my rant and the mini card. It's only 3 1/2 inches and I was really scared that I would ruin the hat when I colored it, but I took a chance and it looks pretty good.
The cutie baby New Year was a Freebie from Tiddly Inks, I just love Christie's designs so fun!
Thanks for looking!

Under the Sea!

It's time for another "In a Sweet Pea Dream" and this weeks challenge is "Under the Sea".
I used another of Ching-Chou Kuiks beautiful images, she is called Enchanting Gold.
I have always loved mermaids.

I just love coloring The Sweet Pea images, it's fun watching the image come alive. I tried to really let loose with his card and used Glimmer Mist to spice up the background papers, Diamond Sparkle Stickles (which you can't really see), Pearl Clusters, some really neat Italian Mesh Ribbon I picked up at a bead show and  another "oldie" stamp the sea shell by Comotion Stamps.

Love You

Hello blogland! Today I have a card for Kenny K's Krafty Girlz Challenges using Miss Fortune, isn't she lovely! I wanted to give her a platinum blonde look but I'm still learning to use my copics and couldn't find a tutorial for a white blonde look. I decided to add just a little bit of cool grays to her hair C0 and C2, I like how it turned out but If you have any suggestions let me know. I also borrowed Cheryl Valadez's super cool laquer glazed boot look, she has the best ideas! So let me know what you think. :)

This card is for Kenny K's Krafty Girlz Challenge 26 "Love You"

Two is better than one!

Yes it's the first challenge of 2011 at SBS Challenges and this challenge was to use 2 SBS images to create a LOVE card! And I LOVE the New Valentine Emos so I just had to use the candy loving London Valentine and the love struck Miller Valentine. It was really hard to just choose two as they are all sooo cute,
I'm sure I will have plenty of opportunities to use them all.

The background paper is from the dollar bins at Target, I just love a deal. The word stamp is another Oldie from my mass collection of rubber stamps. Have I ever mentioned that I used to work in a stamp store like 15 years ago, and the stamp store is still in business Gee Gee's Stamps N Stuff in Carlsbad, CA. The best job I ever had and the best boss! Anyway, I have a lot of rubber and
I just love it when I use an Oldie, don't you?

I Heart You!

Hello and welcome back, my life is a little back more to normal this week and I wanted to get right back into card making. I really enjoy coloring the fun images by Kenny K and I haven't made to many cards with them but that will be changing this year. This weeks challenge at Kenny K's Krafty Girlz is to use Hearts in your project in honor of his New Love Line. So here is my offering using Luscious Linda.
