Purple Twilight

Hi everyone! I wanted to share this new card with you all,
although I used Sweet Pea Stamps  Midnight Rose by Elaine Cox
I am calling it Purple Twilight.Because... a few weeks ago I was at
Home Depot with my dad picking up new flooring
for grandma's room, the new floor makes my life much easier.
Anyway I stopped by the paint section
and picked out some paint samples
and one of them is called Purple Twilight.
I have seen somewhere in blogland these paint samples used as
background papers and I wanted to do the same.

Originally I was going to use the whole paint sample, but
after deciding on my background paper I did not want
to cover it up. So I fussy cut my image I decided to use the
paint sample with lacy accent die cuts.
I love how it turned out, the sample is
coated so the accents are a bit shiny and stand out.
What do you think?

It seems a little plain but I did not want to take away from the image or
the background paper. It's from K&Co. Abrianna paper pad from Michaels.
This another Mother's Day card as well for my Aunt.
I have a few more cards to make for mother's day so I better get to it!

I am entering this card into the following challenges:
Sweet Pea Stampers Recycle Challenge (Paint sample)
In a Sweet Pea Dream Anything goes
Crafty Purple Frog Challenges  Purple and Lace

Have a great day!

For Mom

I am finally ahead of schedule with making a card for once.
I just finished my mom's Mother's Day card.
I used Aloha by Ching-Chou Kuik.
I even made my very first easel card, which was really fun
and would have been easier if I had the right tools, I had to improvise.
I see a Scor-Pal in my future!
If you have any suggestions leave me a comment.
Here is a close up of the lovely Aloha.
I used my mom's favorite color purple for her tail,
and the little mermaid is in green (teal)
my favorite color. This was a fun card to make
and I am happy how it turned out.

I am also entering this one in Sweet Pea Stampers
A card for your mother or special hero.
And In a Sweet Pea Dream's Favorite Color Challenge.
I  am really excited as I got some
NEW Sweet Pea Stamps in the mail today
and I am off to mount and stamp them out.
Happy Stamping!!!

Miss You Sew Much

It's another Rag Doll reveal this week at The Burtonesque Dolls.
This week I used Misty, isn't she just adorable?

You still have time to play along.
One winner will receive all 4 new Rag Dolls stamps at the end of this challenge which will run until April 25th @ 10PM PST.  What do you have to do?  Here comes the fun part...

We challenge you to create a quilted background using different pieces of paper and sewing them together to create that background!  Not as hard as it sounds I promise!  It's fun, and just think of the cool "rags" you can patch together!  You may use any image you like!  Have fun!

Another Favorite Stamp Company

I was recently introduced to Crafts And ME Stamps
by the very talented Angela. They are now
one of my FAVORITE Stamp companies.

I wanted to play along with their challenge
this week, which is to Use Yellow.
I used Lady of Garnet by Sara Burrier, isn't she pretty?

Yellow was a challenge for me but I liked how it turned out.
Thanks for looking and all the lovely comments.

Happy Birthday Christy!

I wanted to wish Christy from Tiddly Inks
Very Happy Birthday!

I just love this image by Christy.
It was so much fun coloring Aisha with an
Indian skin tone and shiny black hair.
Next I try giving her a Nicole Kidman
Moulin Rouge look.

Come back later today and tomorrow as I still have to post my
Crafts And Me Challenge and A New The Burtonesque Dolls Challenge!
