Happy Birthday Sylvia!

Last Wednesday was my Sister Neighbor's Birthday!
Yes, Sister Neighbor, her family has lived next door to my
Grandmother for 40+ years. She was my very first friend.

So today I am sharing the card I made for her.
Sylvia has been baking cupcakes lately,
so I thought Cheery Q from Tiddly Inks was
perfect for her card.

I am also entering this into
Anything Goes Challenge.

Dystopian Films

This week at Beyond The Burtonesque Doll
we are doing Dystopian Films
Dysto..what?
dystopia (from the Greek δυσ- and τόπος, alternatively, cacotopia,[1] kakotopiacackotopia, or anti-utopia) is the vision of a society that is the opposite of utopia. A dystopian society is often a planned structured society in which the conditions of life are deliberately made miserable, characterized by poverty, oppression, violence, disease, scarcity, and/or pollution for the benefit of a select minority or some unnatural societal goal.
Sounds simple when it's put like that lol!
Let me tell you there are loads of Dystopian Films for you to choose
from, so many in fact you'll be spoilt for choice.
You've got two weeks to play along with our challenge.
Be sure to check out all the wonderful
DT samples, they are awesome!

I chose on of my Husband favorite films
V for Vendetta.

The V logo was printed from the internet and
my Guy Fawkes image is
Draco the ghost gent from Simply Betty Stamps.
Can't wait to see your creations!

those you have forgotton, or remember remember the 5th of November,
please show us what you
REMEMBER,
We will have 2 gorgeous decoupage sheets from The Crafty Purple Frog
for the random winner!!!

This one got me thinking to all those I have lost over the last
few years, Grandpa, Aunt Cindy, Aunt Mary, Uncle Jose
and my beloved Wedge earlier this year.
I Love and miss you all. :(

Anyway onto the card.

I just knew I had to use Katerina Koukiotis's
Dreaming of Aquamarine Tides.
It's such a melancholy image.
I really love how it turned out. I even added
a little Diamond Stickles to her eyelashes
and shell.
Can't wait to see your creations!

Dark and not so Creepy!

This week at Forever Night Challenges
we challenge you to create a project that is evil dark & creepy.
It can be any type of project!  So you are not limited to paper crafts.

I have been wanting to make a envelope corner book mark
for some time and finally made one for this project.
The image I used is really not Evil or Creepy but
I just had to use it. It's called Gargoyles of Notre Dame by
Jasmine Becket-Griffith for Crafts and Me stamps.

I kept it super simple. Just some Copic coloring
and background sponging.

This little beauty is going to keep my place in the book
I am currently reading, Game of Thrones.
Can't wait to see your Creepy creations!

Kids are Scary!

It's time for another fun challenge at Beyond The Burtonesque Dolls Challenge
This fortnight we're not focusing on any one person or film in particular; instead,
we want to see your creations inspired by either scary kids or scary kids' films.

I could not resist using my FAVORITE Scary Kids
Lock, Shock and Barrel from TNBC.

I made something other than a card, it's a small canvas.
I even pulled out the crackle paint for this one.
Can't wait to see your SCARY KID creations!
